Bruce Weitz is an American actor born May 27, 1943 in Norwalk, Connecticut, who played the 1st role on television and cinema. Its most famous role remains that of Sergeant Michael "Mick" Belker, in the 80s series "Captain Furillo".

In 1998: he played in the film "Deep Impact" and made an appearance in 2002 in the film "Half Past Dead". His latest film dates back to 2005 and is called "El Cortez".

He made many appearance in other television series, notably "Quincy", "Jack Killian the man at the microphone", "Sister", he made the voice of Bruno Mannheim, in the cartoon "Superman" and even played an immortal Appointed Tommy Sullivan in season 2 of "Highlander", the episode was entitled "The fighter".

Bruce Weitz is an American actor known to have played the role of Mick Belker in the television series Hill Street Blues, for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1982. He also appeared in many other television and films programs, especially in The Sopranos, Law & Order television series: Special Victims Unit and Mad About You, as well as in the movies of Deep Impact and The Shawshank Redemption.

Best known for his scruffy, quirky-acting role as undercover cop Sgt. Michael "Mick" Belker in the 1980s TV series "Hill Street Blues" (1981) who tended to call all criminals "hairball," and whose canine instincts had him habitually growling, biting offenders and barking at other dogs.

Trained at both Minneapolis' Guthrie Theater and Louisville's Actor's Theater after earning graduate and undergraduate degrees from the Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh (MFA, 1966),
