Born in 1953 in Brooklyn, his father was an accountant. His passion for cinema came to him by watching "the story of Jolson", a local television station broadcast the film several times a day and Don Most memorized the story of Al Jolson each time. In 1979, he told a TV guide journalist that he watched the film 50 times and he learned by heart each line of the dialogue. At the age of 15, he was part of a group of adolescents who played the circuit called "Borscht-Cette". In high school, he joined a professional class and he appears in television advertising spots. Don Most graduated from the Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn from which Barbra Streisand and Eli Wallach come. He continued his studies at the University of Lehigh in Pennsylvania and in 1973, he left for a summer in Los Angeles. During his stay he obtained a role in "Emergency" and "Room 222" so he decided not to return to university. He auditioned for the role of potsia in "Happy Days" but was immediately eliminated due to his hair color. Ron Howard, who is also red, had the role of Richie Cunningham and his best friend potsie should therefore not be red. But the producers appreciated Don Most so they create for him the character of Ralph Malph. In 1980, he left the series to devote himself to cinema. He made the voice of the animated series "Dungeons and Dragons" from 1983 to 1986. After leaving "Happy Days", Don Most tries to music and made some records, he devoted himself to the theater. He also appeared in various series "The Fantastic Island", "The cruise is having fun", "Chips", "Arabesque", "Malibu alert" and "Sliders". In 1995, he played disc jockey Vince Fontaine in "Grease" Like other actors of "Happy Days" he produced various projects in Los Angeles.
