Jason was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Aside from being a series regular on Showtime's "Sherman Oaks" and ABC's "Push," Jason Behr has guest starred on a variety of television shows and has been in numerous stage plays. He has also performed in over 75 commercials. One such commercial Jason has been in is the Cloralit gum commercial titled "Body Search." It was produced by Great Guns for Italian chewing gum and aired all over Europe.

At 5, he entered a professional theater school. During his adolescence, he turned in a series of TV movies and advertising spots.

After obtaining his baccalaureate, he left for Los Angeles to continue his acting career. He quickly obtained his first role in the our beautiful family series in 1994. Then he made many appearances in series like Jag, Profiler, seven at home, Cracker and Buffy against vampires. In 1999, he played the recurring role of Chris Wolfe in the Dawson series. Still in 1999, he obtained the role of Max Evans, main character in the Roswell series, who made him famous.

In addition to his television career, Jason Behr made a short appearance in the film Pleasantville, with Reese Witherspoon, then in an independent film, Rites of Passage in 1999.

Behr began his acting career in the early 1990s, appearing in advertisements and TV movies. His first appearance on the big screen took place in 1997 in the Film Love and Amnesie, alongside Katie Holmes and Josh Hartnett. He also played in films such as Skinwalkers (2006), The Grudge (2004) and The Shipping News (2001).

In 1999, Behr obtained his most famous role to date in the television series Roswell, where he interpreted Andrew, an extraterrestrial who lives among humans. The series was very successful with science fiction fans and was broadcast for three seasons before being canceled in 2002.

Behr has also played in several other television series, including Dawsons Creek, where he interpreted the role of Kyle Barker, a childhood friend of Joey Potter (interpreted by Katie Holmes). He also played in series such as The Vampire Diaries and Seal Team.

Apart from his acting career, Behr is also passionate about sports and likes to play golf and tennis. He is married to actress Kadee Strickland, with whom he had a child in 2014.
