Biography for Jeffrey A Townes

Was the part of rap duo "DJ Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince" together with Will Smith, with which he won two Grammies.

He is a legendary Philly Hip-Hop DJ and serious turntablist who has won DJ competitions like the New Music Seminar's 1986 DJ Battle For World Supremacy. Although he never competed in the DMC World Championship competitions, he is in the DMC hall of fame for contributions to the world of Hip-Hop and DJing.

First rap artist (along with Will Smith) to win a Grammy: Category (Best Rap Performance) Title: "Parents Just Don't Understand" (1988).
