Jill Marie Jones is an American actress, born January 4, 1975 in Dallas, Texas. It is mainly known for its role as Toni Childs in the television series "Girlfriends".
Jones grew up in Dallas and studied at the South Oak Cliff college before continuing her studies at the University of Texas in Austin, where she graduated in theater. She began her acting career in 1997, playing in television series such as "Buffy against vampires" and "Xena, the warrior".
In 2000, Jones obtained a recurring role in the series "Girlfriends", where she played the character of Toni Childs for seven seasons. Her role earned her national recognition and she was nominated for the NAACP Image Awards in 2003 and 2004.
Apart from "Girlfriends", Jones also played in films such as "Love Don't Cost A Thing" (2003) and "Why Did I Get Married?" (2007), as well as in television series like "Two and a Half Men" and "Criminal Minds".
In 2011, Jones left "Girlfriends" to focus on other projects, in particular by writing and producing independent films. She also created her own production company, "JMJ Productions".
