Lindsay Wagner - BiographyJaimie Sommers in The Bionic Woman
Biography for Lindsay WagnerLindsay Wagner was born in Los Angeles California on June 22, 1949. Her parents divorced when Lindsay was 7 years old. She started out her career as a model but hated modeling and soon started her acting career, guest starring in such television shows as "Night Gallery" (1970), "The Bold Ones: The Lawyers" (1969), and "Marcus Welby, M.D." (1969). Although Lindsay starred in the critically acclaimed movie The Paper Chase (1973), TV stardom beckoned when she guest starred on "The Six Million Dollar Man" (1974). Lindsay's appearance was so popular that she was offered her own show "The Bionic Woman" (1976) even though her character Jamie Sommers has died on the SMDM. The studio that made SMDM, Universal, had let Lindsay's contract lapse and this led to a most lucrative deal for Ms. Wagner. Lindsay went on to win an Emmy Award for "The Bionic Woman" (1976) and parlayed her talent and popularity into becoming the "queen" of television movies and miniseries. Lindsay has made over 30 movies and besides her Emmy award has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and a Cable Ace Award. Authors of the card. Creation date : 2003/07/01 by stals .
