Biography for Nick Mancuso

Dark and handsome Nick Mancuso was born in Italy and raised in Canada (from age 8). Although he developed an interest in acting in high school, he chose to study psychology at the University of Toronto. The acting bug bit again, however, and he was soon drawn to various Canadian theatre groups in the 70s. During this time, he became artistic director for the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre, at the same time building up his classical resume at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. TV and film soon came his way in the late 70s and he tackled roles both in Hollywood, first as TV's "Dr. Scorpion" (1978), and back in his homeland, where he won the prestigious Genie award for the movie Ticket to Heaven (1981) as a man caught up in a religious cult. He impressed moviegoers as well with his moody, sexy presence in the US film Heartbreakers (1984) co-starring `Peter Coyote' . Not a big name in Hollywood, he has nevertheless proven over the years to be a solid, durable player in the 'tough guy' mold, almost always with a serious edge.

In the mid -1970s, after a few years in the theater, Nick was noticed by the executive producers of Universal Television and ABC Television Network.

He won his first role in the film "Doctor Scorpion".

In 82, Nick obtained the "Genie Award" for the best actor for the film "Ticket to Heaven".

He earns the honors for the best actor of the "Houston International Film and Television Festival" twice, and another at the International Film Festival in Taomina in Italy.

Since then, he has been chaining the roles both in the cinema and on television: films, TV movies, series.

Nick Mancuso is an American actor known for his work in films and television series. He was born on May 24, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York, in the United States. He started his acting career by playing in plays in New York before moving on to the movies and television.

He has played in many films and television series during his career, notably in the films Under Siege (1992) and Spy Game (2001), as well as in the Singray television series (1985) and The Temptations (1998). In addition to his acting work, Mancuso is also an accomplished artist and a talented writer.

Apart from his acting career, Mancuso is also known for his commitment to the rights of indigenous peoples and native peoples. He worked with many organizations to support these causes and also wrote on these subjects in his writing works.

In summary, Nick Mancuso is a talented and committed American actor who has played in many films and television series during his career and who was also involved in important causes outside the entertainment industry.
