Biography for Charles Hallahan

Beefy, Philadelphia-born Charles Hallahan was often cast as cops, both good and bad, mainly because the map of Ireland was written all over his face. A graduate of Rutgers University, he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Temple University in his hometown. After spending some time in regional theater, he headed west to Los Angeles to break into films and television. He spent a good deal of time on stage in L.A., and quickly began racking up television and movie credits. He was a regular on the detective series "Hunter" (1984) - as, what else, a cop - and turned in a standout performance as a corrupt, racist detective in a story arc on "Hill Street Blues" (1981). He also appeared in such films as Silkwood (1983), Kidco (1984), Executive Decision (1996) and Dante's Peak (1997). He died of a heart attack in Los Angeles in 1997.

Charles Hallahan was born on July 29, 1943 in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania). Winner of the University of Temple in Philadelphia with a master's degree in fine arts. He was married to Barbara Gryboski with whom he had two children. Charles Hallahan made his debut in the series "Happy Days" in 1977. He also played in other series like "Hawaii State Police", "For the love of risk", "Hill Street Blues" or "New York Police blues "in 1997. Subsequently, we saw him in" The thing of John Carpenter "in 1982," Pale Rider "by and with Clint Eastwood, in 1985," Bofy of Evidence "in 1993, or" The peak of Dante "in 1997. His most famous role was Captain Devane, Hunter's superior in the series" Rick Hunter "role he performed from 1986 to 1991. Charles Hallahan died of a heart attack on November 25, 1997 in Los Angeles (California). He had suffered from heart problems since a car accident.

Charles Hallahan was an American actor who is best known for his role in the film "The Thing" of 1982. He was born on November 30, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died on December 16, 1997 in Los Angeles, California.

Hallahan began his career in the 1970s by playing in theater productions and television shows. He made his cinema debut in 1975 with a small role in the film "The Hindenburg". He also played in other films such as "Capricorn One" (1978), "The Onion Field" (1979) and "Poltergeist" (1982).

However, it was his role in "The Thing" that made him famous. He played the role of Norris, a member of the research team parked in Antarctica who finds himself facing a hostile extraterrestrial creature. The film, which was an adaptation of the science fiction news of John W. Campbell Jr. entitled "Who Goes there?", Became a classic of the genre and was hailed for its agonizing atmosphere and its revolutionary special effects.

Unfortunately, Hallahan did not have the opportunity to take full advantage of his celebrity linked to this film, because he died of a heart attack in 1997, at the age of 54. Nevertheless, his work in "The Thing" allowed him to leave a lasting trace in the history of horror cinema.
