Marc graduated Girard High School in 1990. Marc played basketball throughout high school and his senior year. Because of his athletic ability, Marc went on full scholarship to Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem North Carolina. After college, he played one year in Europe for the Manchester Giants.

His acting break came when the producers of Eddie (1996) needed a baby-faced kid that could play basketball.

He won his baccalaureate in 1990 at the Girard High School, where he successfully played at Basket Ball. In addition to being a young athletic man Mark Blucas was a very good student. Classified sixth in his class, he left to study at Wake Forest University in Winston in North Carolina, where he wishes to continue his basketball career. He plays for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and in 1994 received the "Murray Greaser Award" for his performance on the ground. The same year, he was the first Wake Forrest player to obtain the "Weaver James Carrigan Award", a study scholarship that only seven players were able to obtain. The following year, he started a professional career in Great Britain with the Giants de Manchester team.

Wishing to resume his studies, he returned to the United States and joined the Faculty of Law. Mark Blucas joins a small theater troupe. But the artist quickly takes over and he begins to pass auditions. After some appearances in films such as Pleasantville or Eddie and in some sitcoms like Clueless, Mark passes a hearing for the role of a certain Riley Finn. For the role of Riley, Joss Whedon was looking for an actor who looks very American and really inspires confidence. And he found it.

Marc Blucas is an American actor born January 11, 1972 in Butler, Pennsylvania. He started his acting career in the late 1990s and has since played in many films and television series. Blucas studied at Wake Forest University, where he played basketball before embarking on acting.

His notable first role is that of Buffy Summers in the Buffy series against vampires, where he played the role of Riley Finn, one of Buffy's friends. He also played in the films The Alamo and First Daughter. In 2004, he played in the science fiction film I, robot, with Will Smith.

In addition to his acting work, Blucas was also an executive producer of the film The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007. He also participated in charitable projects such as the Stand Up to Cancer campaign.

In his personal life, Blucas married Ryan Haddon, a television producer in 2009. They have two children together. Blucas is also a sports lover and likes to practice golf and surfing outside of his acting work.
