Biography for Christina Applegate

Christina is the daughter of record producer, Robert Applegate, and singer-actress, Nancy Priddy. Her parents split up shortly after her birth. She has two step-siblings from her father's re-marriage - Alisa (b. 1977) & Kyle (b. 1981). Alisa and Christina are best friends and even lived together while Alisa was going to college. Christina's mother took her along on all of her auditions and acting jobs. She made her acting debut at age five months, when her mother got her in a commercial for Playtex nursers. Her mother never remarried, but kept company with Stephen Stills. Christina still cherishes a guitar Stephen gave her when she was young. She played in a series of TV series before landing her breakout role in "Married... with Children" (1987) in 1987. Christina still studies jazz dance.

Born in 1971, Christina Applegate is the daughter of a music producer. Detail is important since she will become the beautiful daughter of the legendary folk singer, Stephen Stills (himself ex-Mari by Véronique Sanson). At five months old, little Christina won her first contract for advertising. The first time she really plays in a fiction, it is for the needs of an obscure horror film: Jaws of Satan, in 1981. She then finds small roles in family series: Charles , A sacred family and Ricky or the beautiful life. After Heart in the City, in 1986, she plays again in a series: it will be married, two children. The role is ungrateful but the energy and the pleasure of the actress are obvious. The series allows her to shoot in interesting films where she shows a certain irony. Indeed, the young woman does not want to be reduced to the role of a simple bimbo. She proves it in Wild Bill, Mars Attacks, Nowhere or Big Hit. In 1998, she was the heroine of Jesse, a sitcom written by the creators of Friends, where Christina shows once again that we can be beautiful and funny. The series only lasts two seasons but it once again emphasizes the talent of the actress and the public affection for her. In a few years, Christina Applegate has become one of the most atypical actresses of her generation.

Quotes
