Biography for Bob Saget

Bob Saget (born May 17, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a US actor and stand-up comedian best known for his role as a father in the ABC sitcom Full House and as host to the TV home video show America's Funniest Home Videos. Contrary to his saccharine-sweet appearance on Full House, he is also known for his raunchy, vulgar stand-up routines. His parents are William Saget (1924-1991) and Hillary Saget (1926-2001).

After a failed attempt at another sitcom in 2001, Saget has turned to directing.

For several years, he animated "Funniest Home Videos", the American edition of Video Gag, every Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC. But, this program has been replaced this season (1999-2000) by "The Wonderful World of Disney" (to be translated by "Le Monde Merveux de Disney").

Bob Saget tries a return to comedy: Bob Saget played Daniel "Danny" Tanner in the party at home. He thus embodied for 7 years the good father who raises his three daughters with his brother-in-law and his best friend since the death of his wife. Bob Saget has since enjoyed, in an incredible notoriety in the United States. But since the end of the party at home, we cannot say that he has been overwhelmed by work.

Bob Saget returns to a family comedy broadcast on WB, entitled Raising Dad on September 14, 2001 at 9:30 p.m.

He will play the role of a widower, Mark, doing the best to educate his two daughters Sarah (Kat Dennings) and Emily (Brie Larson) with the help of his father Sam (Jerry Adler, The Sopranos) who lives with him. But it must also be said that Mark is a teacher at his daughter's high school ... and he keeps invading his space and humiliating her in front of his class. A widowed father, too protective ... It is strangely like Danny Tanner but no, it's a new comedy! A hope of originality comes from the fact that the producer of the project is Jonathan Katz, executive producer of the animation series Dr Katz.

Bob Saget is an actor, humorist, television producer and American director. He is best known for having played the role of Danny Tanner in the television series "Full House" and for having presented the programs "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "1 vs. 100".

Saget was born on May 17, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up in the Rockledge district, where he attended the Abington Friends School elementary school. He then studied at the University Temple, where he obtained a baccalaureate in communication.

Saget began his career as a stand-up humorist, performing in comedy clubs and television shows like "The Tonight Show" and "Comedy Central Presents". In 1987, he obtained his first important role by playing the character of Danny Tanner in "Full House", a television series for children which was a great success and which was broadcast for eight seasons.

In 1989, Saget began to present "America's Funniest Home Videos", a television program in which viewers sent videos of comic or surprising situations filmed at home. He presented the program for eight seasons and received an Emmy Award for his performance.

In 2006, Saget played in comedy "Half Baked", which was written and produced by Dave Chappelle. He also played in the television series "entourage" and in several films, including "Dirty Work" and "Farce of the Penguins". In 2007, he presented the game show "1 vs. 100" on NBC.

In addition to his acting career, SAGET is also a television producer and director. He produced and produced several television programs, including "Raising Dad" and "Surviving Suburbia".
