Robert Pine was born in New York, but grew up in Scarsdale.

Had an intense dislike of motorcycles and threatened to quit his cop series "CHiPs" (1977) unless he became a cruiser cop. The producers copped a deal by having his character work behind a desk or around the CHP station.

Born in New York City but raised in Scarsdale, New York, the son of a patent attorney.

First under contract to Universal in the late 60s and earning his stripes in such series as "Run for Your Life" (1965) and "The Virginian" (1962).
