A production of the William Shakespeare's "Richard III" with Sir Laurence Olivier that Marc's dad took him to see as a boy made a lasting impression, though he didn't start acting himself until a teacher recruited him to fill a suddenly vacant role in his junior year of high school. However, as the son of musicians, Marc acknowledges, "Performing is in our blood." Of the four Singer children, oldest brother Claude is the only non-performer. The three boys were hell raisers, but Marc says sister Lori Singer held her own. "She's an amazing girl and we're very close," he adds. Marc, who has fond memories of his childhood, was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, lived briefly in New York and grew up in Corpus Christi, TX, and in Oregon before going to college in the Midwest and Washington state. "I've got a lot from each city which I've lived in," he observes. In Seattle, he met his future wife, Hawaiian-born actress Haunani Minn. They live a California casual lifestyle, and Marc enjoys running, sailing, martial arts, boxing, skiing, and motorcycling in his spare time, as well as playing some Western classical piano every day.

Canadian actor and brother of Lori Singer (VR5), Marc Singer quickly started his career by appearing in many series. Hawaii, state police, the planet of the apes, Simon & Simon, Arabesque are his leading roles on the small screen while turning in TV movies. In the early 1980s, he made a little reputation with the film by Heroic-Fantasy, Dar the invincible.

He then continues V then immerses himself in the ruthless universe of Dallas. But his career does not really manage to take off and the actor remains a second -class actor, competent and subscribed to small B series.

Marc Singer is an American actor known for his role in the television series Beastmaster and for having played in the cult science fiction film V. He was born on January 29, 1948 in Vancouver, British Columbia, in Canada. He grew up in New York and studied at the University of Yale, where he graduated in political science.

At the start of his career, Marc Singer played in theatrical productions on Broadway, especially in Shakespeare's play, Macbeth. He also played in several movies and television series, including The Incident, the invaders and Hawaii State police.

In 1982, he obtained the main role in the television series Beastmaster, which was a great success and earned him a nomination to the Saturn Awards. In this show, he embodies Dar, a warrior dressed in beast skins who traverses the earth with his animal companions to fight against oppression and cruelty. The series was broadcast for three seasons and allowed Marc Singer to make a name for himself in the world of television.

In 1984, Marc Singer played in the film V, a science fiction feature film which tells the story of extraterrestrials who came to earth to allegedly bring peace and prosperity, but which in reality have evil intentions. The film was a real critical and commercial success, and was followed by two suites, V: the final and V battle: visitors.

Since the 1980s, Marc Singer has continued to play in films and television series, especially in the Star Wars: Episode VI - The return of the Jedi, Dallas, Melrose Place and the experts. He also played in several TV movies, such as the Iron Lady, the Rose War and the Sons of Man.

In addition to his acting career, Marc Singer is also an activist engaged in the fight against AIDS and founded the association "The Beauty of Aids", which aims to make the public aware of the issues related to the disease. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the "Heal The Bay" organization, which is working on the protection of the marine environment in California.
