Angel was an American television series created by Joss Whedon, which was a series of the Buffy series against the vampires. The series was broadcast for the first time in October 1999 on The WB and lasted until 2004. The series featured David Boreanaz in the main role of Angel, a vampire who had been condemned to wander on earth to atone for his sins. Angel was a vampire chased by his former vampire comrades for betraying their cause. He moved to Los Angeles, where he meets characters such as Cordélia Chase, an actress in the making, and Doyle, a half-demo which gives her missions to help humans in distress. Together, they form a group that fights against the forces of evil. The series was very popular and won several awards, including an Emmy Award and a Saturn Award.
