Crossing Jordan Dates : 2001 - 2007 SynopsisThis police series follows the investigations of Doctor Jordan Cavanaugh and a team of doctors of the Boston police. Supporting proof (original title: Crossing Jordan) is an American television series which was broadcast on the NBC network from 2001 to 2007. The series follows the adventures of Doctorate Jordan Cavanaugh, an expert in medico-legal sciences working for The Boston Medico-Legal Service. Jordan is an obstinate and independent person, with a strong sense of justice and a passionate temperament. She is supported in her investigations by a group of colleagues and friends who help her resolve difficult and complex crimes. The series highlights the collaboration between the various members of the forensic team, who work hand in hand to gather evidence and identify the culprits. Jordan's investigations are often linked to personal affairs, such as the search for the truth about the death of his father, a police officer killed in service. In addition to his work as a medical examiner, Jordan also has to face personal problems, such as his complicated relationships with his family and his own interior demons. Supporting proof was praised by criticism for his original approach to forensic investigations, as well as for the talent of his actors, in particular that of Jill Hennessy in the role of Jordan Cavanaugh. The series was nominated for many prizes, including two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe. She also won the People's Choice Award for the best medical drama in 2006.
