It is in fact a kind of crash test: if Yoyo survives the Bourdes de Holmes, he can then survive anything ...

However, the cunning was quickly reached and Holmes, first reluctant, will quickly adopt this endearing robot.

Despite its mechanical assets (an integrated trash can as well as a photographic memory ...), Yoyo suffers from some dysfunctions conducive to comic situations. But whatever the obstacles, Holmes and Yoyo always end up catching the bad guys :))

To all this agitation, are added the romantic escapades of the beautiful Maxine Moon who pliers for the android ...

Note that the gags were largely inspired by another series produced by the producer Leonard Stern (Max the threat), but that was not enough and the series was canceled after three months ...

Holmes and Yo-Yo was a comic American television series which was broadcast for the first time in 1976 on the ABC channel. The series featured Richard B. Shull in the role of Inspector John Robert Holmes, a human detective who works for the New York police department. His partner was Yo-Yo, an android made by the government to help resolve crimes.

The concept of the series was that Yo-Yo was an extremely intelligent robot capable of making rapid decisions, but he often lacked tact and social skills because of his lack of experience in the real world. This often led to comical situations, like when Yo-Yo made reckless decisions or asked embarrassing questions to the suspects.

Despite the fact that the series was well received by criticism and viewers, it lasted only one season before being canceled due to low audience rates. Since then, the series has become a little cult classic and has often been considered a precursor to modern police comedies.
