Synopsis

Vincente Terranova is not a real "bad". He works under cover to infiltrate the world of crime and his professional conscience led him to endure the prison to protect his new identity. But his mother does not know it and he does not have the right to tell him.

The series features Ken Wahl in the role of Vinnie Terranova, Jonathan Banks in the role of FBI agent Roger Lococco, Jim Byrnes in the role of the informant of Vinnie, "Lifeguard", and Kevin Spacey in the role From Mel Profitt, a wealthy drug dealer. The series was acclaimed by criticism for its solid performance and its intelligent realization, and has won numerous prizes, including a Primetime Emmy Award for the best artistic direction for a television series.

The main character in the series, Vinnie Terranova, is an infiltrated agent of the Criminal Intelligence Division which is responsible for bringing criminals by pretending to be one of them. Vinnie is an intelligent and courageous man, but he is often confronted with difficult choices and moral dilemmas because of his double life. Despite the risks he takes, he is determined to do justice and put an end to the criminal activities of mafia organizations.

During the series, Vinnie is responsible for infiltrating different criminal groups, including mafia, street gangs, terrorist groups and drug cartels. He often works in close collaboration with his CID colleagues, as well as with FBI agents and other police. He must also navigate the troubled waters of criminal life, avoiding traps and betrayals while maintaining his cover.

A cop in the mafia is an entertaining and intense series that offers a fascinating overview of criminal activities and police investigations. The series was praised for its remarkable performance and its quality realization, and remains one of the most popular television programs of its time.
