The series featured Richard Bradford in the role of McGill, an expatriate American private detective who was traveling through Europe by resolving Business for different customers. The series was known for its dark and realistic style, as well as for its use of music and photography to create a suspense atmosphere. The man with the suitcase was also remarkable for his original approach to narration, often using different flashbacks and views to tell the story. Despite his popularity with the public and the criticism, the man with the suitcase lasted only two seasons before being canceled in 1968. Since then, the series has become a classic cult of British television and continued to be broadcast in many countries around the world. TriviaThe man with the suitcase (Man in A A Suitcase) is a British television series created by two screenwriters Richard Harris and Dennis Spooner, creator of the Les Champions series and broadcast on the ITV network. Producer Sidney Cole chooses the American actor Richard Bradford for the role of McGill after having seen him in the ruthless pursuit (it is one of the Texans who beats Marlon Brando). The series was stopped at the end of 30 episodes by the producers, a decision that they should regret later, given the success of the series abroad, especially in Germany and France.
