Ben Matlock is a very expensive criminal defense lawyer, who takes $ 250,000 for a business.

Fortunately, he uses each Penny so that he and his associates can defend his customers by finding the real killer.

Matlock is an American television series which was broadcast from 1986 to 1995 on the NBC channel. The series featured actor Andy Griffith in the role of the famous lawyer Ben Matlock, an Atlanta lawyer who resolves criminal affairs using his sagacity and intelligence. In each episode, Matlock and his team of lawyers work to prove their client's innocence while discovering the real culprit. The series has been very popular in the United States and has been broadcast in many countries around the world.

Nancy Stafford, Daniel Roebuck and Brynn Thayer all had guest appearances on the show before taking the roles of Michelle, Cliff and Leanne, respectively.

Besides Don Knotts, other former cast members of the "The Andy Griffith Show" (1960) to appear were Aneta Corsaut, Jack Dodson and Betty Lynn.

Ben attended Harvard Law School.

In a couple of flashback episodes that looked at Ben's early career, Andy Griffith played Ben's father.

Conrad was a deputy sheriff before becoming Ben's investigator.

George Peppard made his last TV-appearance on this show. He appeared as Max Morgan in the 8th season, in the episode "The P.I.", first broadcasted on 3 March 1994. Peppard died on 8 May 1994.
