Synopsis

The series features Mr. Bean, accompanied by his teddy teddy bear, he has to face unexpected situations (exchange of pants or heart attack for example).

He also has a certain gift to make some things simple, however, like preparing a sandwich, repainting his apartment or preparing his luggage. With an almost total absence of dialogue, his adventures rest on his comic prowess.

Mr. Bean is a British television series created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis, broadcast between 1990 and 1995. The series features Atkinson in the role of Mr. Bean, a chaotic and clumsy character who finds himself in incredible situations in his everyday life.

The character of Mr. Bean was created by Atkinson in the 1980s when he began to perform as Stand-Up Comedian. The series was produced by Tiger Aspect Productions and broadcast on ITV in England, and later on the American PBS network in the United States.

The series was a real international success, and has sold in more than 200 countries. The series includes 15 episodes, plus two special episodes for Christmas. Each episode follows the comic adventures of Mr. Bean, a naive and immature man who finds himself constantly confronted with embarrassing and unexpected situations.

Mr. Bean is often seen alone in the series, and his actions and reactions to events around him are generally exaggerated and comical. He speaks little and often communicates only with grunts, sighs and exaggerated facial expressions.

Despite his childish personality and his numerous failures, Mr. Bean is generally portrayed as being finally triumphant in his adventures. The series was a critical and commercial success, and Atkinson was nominated for a BAFTA Award for its performance in the role of Mr. Bean.

In addition to the television series, there were also two films featuring Mr. Bean: "Bean" in 1997 and "Mr. Bean's Holiday" in 2007. In addition, Atkinson resumed his role in several sketches for programs television and advertisements, as well as in live performances.
