Synopsis

Q.E.D. is an American television series which was broadcast for the first time in 1981. The series featured Sam Waterston in the role of Dr. Quentin Everett Deverill, a mathematician and physicist who resolved complex mysteries using his skills in Sciences. The series lasted only one season and was broadcast on the CBS channel.

The title of the series, Q.E.D., is an acronym for "Quod Erat Demonstrandum", a Latin expression used in mathematics and science to signify that something has been proven. This expression is often used to indicate the end of a mathematical or scientific demonstration.

The main character in the series, Dr. Deverill, was a renowned mathematician and physicist who had been dismissed from the university for unrecognized reasons. He then finds himself working as a consultant for the FBI, where he uses his science skills to resolve complex puzzles and help resolve crimes.

The series was rather well received by critics and won an Emmy for the best original song in 1982. Despite this, the series was not renewed for a second season due to its low audience rate. Today, it is considered a cult series among fans of mysteries and science.
