Synopsis

The funny adventures of an adventurer at the "Indiana Jones" on an island in the Pacific shortly before the 2nd World War. Jake Cutter is the adventurer par excellence, pilot, he supplies the small surrounding islands, always accompanied by his dog Borgne and his friend Corky.

Jake Cutter was an American television series which was broadcast between 1982 and 1983. The series was a mixture of adventure and comedy, and took place in the 1930s. The main character, Jake Cutter, was an army pilot American who had been excluded for insubordination. After leaving the army, Jake opened a transport agency in Bora Bora, in the Pacific Islands.

With the help of his faithful monkey, Jack, and his friend, Corky, a former navy, Jake accepted dangerous and exotic missions for rich customers. His main rival was the beautiful but mysterious Baroness Catherine Bohème, who led a criminal organization in the region.

The series was created by Donald P. Bellisario and Glen A. Larson, who also worked on popular television series such as Magnum, P.I. and Battlestar Galactica. The main actors were Stephen Collins in the role of Jake Cutter, Jeff Mackay in the role of Corky, and Marta Dubois in the role of Baroness Catherine Bohème.

Despite mixed criticism, the series was a success with the public and has won several prizes, including a Primetime Emmy Award for special effects. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe for the best comic or musical television series. The series was canceled after a single season due to high production costs and low audiences.
