The Flash was an American television series based on the character of DC Comics of the same name. The series was broadcast on the CW network and was created by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns. The series was broadcast for the first time in October 2014 and ended in May 2021 after seven seasons.

The main character in the series was Barry Allen, a laboratory scientist who finds himself with super speed after being struck by lightning. With the help of his team of teammates and friends, Barry uses his new powers to fight crime in the city of Central City.

Over the seasons, Barry and his team face many villains, such as the man of the future Eobard Thawne, the naughty metahuman Leonard Snart, and the chief criminal of Central City, Clifford Devoe. They also equal the forces with other superheroes from the DC Comics universe, such as Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow.

The series was a great success for the Network The CW and was praised by criticism for its performances as actors, its fascinating narration and its impressive visual effects. The series has won numerous prizes, including two Primetime Emmy Awards for visual effects.

The pilot is 90 minutes and 21x45mn.

The series did not have a big audience when it was released, it was stopped for the cost deemed too large of the special effects it requested.

Flash will do this in film in 2008 or 2009.
