Kevin Burke is a father who has raised his two daughters alone since the death of his wife. He is a professor at university and believes that there is a scientific explanation for everything, except for his two pre-adolescents.

Mary-Kate and Ashley are two twin sisters who have two totally different personalities: Mary-Kate is a tomboy who is only interested in perfecting her jumps and rebounds in basketball; Ashley is a rather good girl at school and dream of boys and her future model career.

And then there is Carrie, a 26 -year -old student who follows the course given by Kevin. Carrie is a pretty, funny girl, a bit original and eccentric, who responded to Kevin's announcement who was looking for a babysitter to take care of her daughters. Kevin is not very hot at the beginning to hire him, because he fears that her student will employ her private life but her daughters finally convince him. But what he doesn't know is that his daughters will do everything to make Kevin and Carrie end together.

The twins get involved (Two of A Kind in English) was an American television series broadcast between 1998 and 1999 on the ABC network. The series featured Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in the role of two teenage binoculars, Carrie and Dana, whose parents have just separated.

Their father, Aaron, finds himself alone to raise his two daughters and decides to recruit a babysitter to help him. He hires the young and pretty Ashley, who has just moved to the neighborhood. Ashley, who is in fact a student of biology, quickly finds herself confronted with the challenges of education of twins, but ends up winning their confidence and their affection.

Over the episodes, the twins and Ashley live fun and sometimes epic adventures, while learning important lessons on friendship, family and life in general. The series was rather well received by criticism, who praised the performance of the main actresses and the light humor of the series. The twins get involved was canceled after two seasons due to low hearings.

Unfortunately, the audiences were not satisfactory for the ABC channel and this sitcom stopped at the end of the first season.
