Né en 1920, Denver Pyle a participé à de nombreux westerns télévisés comme Bonanza, Maverick ou Bronco.
Son visage bourru est apparu dans plus de 75 films, le dernier en date étant Maverick avec Mel Gibson et James Garner.
Cet ancien militaire, qui avait participé à la Seconde Guerre Mondiale est devenu comédien par hasard et oncle Jesse restera son rôle le plus marquant. Il est mort à la suite d'un cancer en 1997 juste après le tournage d'un téléfilm de Shérif, Fais-moi Peur.
Denver Pyle était un acteur américain né le 11 mai 1920 à Bethune, en Caroline du Sud, et décédé le 25 décembre 1997 à Burbank en Californie. Il était connu pour avoir joué dans de nombreuses séries télévisées et films, notamment dans The Dukes of Hazzard et Les Enquêtes de l'inspecteur Harry. Pyle a commencé sa carrière d'acteur en 1949 et a continué à jouer jusqu'à sa mort en 1997. Il a joué dans des dizaines de films et séries télévisées, et a été reconnu pour son talent d'acteur. Pyle était également un musicien talentueux et a joué de plusieurs instruments, y compris la guitare et le banjo. En dehors de sa carrière d'acteur, il était également un pilote expérimenté et a été membre de l'Association des pilotes d'aviation expérimentale. Pyle était marié à l'actrice Jeanette Nolan, avec qui il a eu deux enfants, et il a été enterré au Forest Lawn Memorial Park de Hollywood Hills.
