Biography for Mitch Pileggi

Mitch Pileggi is an American actor, born April 5, 1952 in Portland Oregon, mainly known in France for his interpretation of the Walter Skinner assistant in the X-Files series, at the borders of reality.

Mitch started traveling with his family from the age of seven and, according to his own expression, "no longer stopped moving for a very long time". Indeed, his father working as operations director for a company working for the Department of Defense, he is called upon to travel regularly.

As a result, Mitch spent a good part of his childhood in Turkey. After doing his high school there, Mitch is studying university in Germany. Then, he discovered the world of work by his father's company in Saudi Arabia, commuting between Saudi Arabia and the United States. Later, he works in Iran for another company.

After the putsch that dropped the Shah government, he returned to the United States where he then turned to an acting career. He moved to Austin in Texas to play in a theatrical company before returning to California. There, he obtained a few roles in series like Dallas, all-risks agency or a cop like no other. He appears in films like three hours or the return of the living dead.

This athletic actor of a ninety-five meter won the first role of a Wes Craven film, Shocker. He also appeared in Basic Instinct during the very famous scene of Sharon Stone's interrogation by Michael Douglas.

And it was then that he applies (several times by the way) to play the role of Walter Skinner in the X-Files series until he is retained.

Mitch Pileggi is an American actor known for his role as Walter Skinner in the television series "The X-Files". He was born on April 5, 1952 in Portland, Oregon, and grew up in South Carolina.

Pileggi began his acting career in the 1980s, playing in films such as "Return of the Living Dead 3" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2". He also appeared in television series such as "Walker, Texas Ranger" and "Stargate SG-1".

However, it was his role as Walter Skinner in "The X-Files" that made him famous. In the series, he plays the role of the assistant director of the FBI who works on non -classified files with the Fox Mulder and Dana Scully agents. His performance was widely praised by criticism and he won the Award satellite for best actor in a dramatic television series in 1996 for his role.

Apart from "The X-Files", Pileggi continued to play in movies and television series, notably in "Supernatural", "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Mentalist". He also played in the films "The Flash" and "The Death and Life of Bobby Z".

In addition to his acting career, Pileggi is also an accomplished musician and released an album entitled "Long Road to Heaven" in 2009. He has been married to actress Arlene Warren since 1979 and they have two children together.
