Richard Bull was an American actor known for his role as Nels Oleson in the television series "The little house in the meadow". He was born on December 26, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in the city of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Bull began his acting career in the 1950s, playing in plays in New York. He then appeared in television series such as "The Twilight Zone" and "Perry Mason". In 1974, he joined the cast of "La Petite Maison in La Prairie", where he played the role of Nels Oleson, the owner of the general shop of the city of Walnut Grove, until the end of the series 1983.
Apart from his acting career, Bull was also a talented musician. He had learned to play the violin when he was a child and continued to play the instrument throughout his life. In addition to his work as an actor and musician, Bull was also a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
