Dan O'Herlihy especially played in films from 1947 to 1960, then from 1960 in TV movies and some series.

Dan O'Herlihy is an Irish actor born May 1, 1919 in Wexford, Ireland. He started his acting career in the theater, before embarking on cinema. O'Herlihy won the Oscar for best actor in a supporting role in 1985 for his role in the film "Greystoke: the legend of Tarzan, the king of monkeys".

He has also played in many other famous films, such as "Robocop" (1987), "The Fifth Element" (1997) and "Le Voyage en la Lune" (1902). O'Herlihy is also known for her roles in television series such as "Alfred Hitchcock presents" and "The Virginian".

O'Herlihy spent the last years of his life in California, where he died on February 17, 2005 at the age of 85. He left behind a rich career as an actor, with many films and television series to his credit. Its contribution to the film industry is undeniable and it remains one of the most respected actors of its generation.
