Richard Venture is an American actor who has played in many films and television series during his career of more than five decades. He was born on December 10, 1922 in Newark, New Jersey, in the United States. He grew up in a wealthy family and studied at Princeton University, where he graduated in English literature.

After leaving university, Venture began his acting career by playing in theatrical productions in New York. He quickly attracted the attention of film producers and won his first role in the cinema in the film "The Strange Love of Martha Ivers" in 1946. This performance was noticed by critics and launched his film career.

During his career, Venture has played in many important films, notably "Fail-Safe" (1964), "The Parallax View" (1974), "The Towering Inferno" (1974), "All the President's Men" ( 1976), "The China Syndrome" (1979) and "Being There" (1979). He was also nominated for the Oscar for the best supporting role for his role in "Fail-Safe".

In addition to his roles in the cinema, Venture has also worked in many television series during his career. He notably played in "The Lone Ranger", "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.", "The Fugitive" and "Mission: Impossible". He was also a regular member of the television series "The Bold Ones: The Lawyers" in the 1970s.
