Biography for Alan Thicke

He graduated from Elliot Lake High School in 1965 as homecoming king. He attended the University of Western Ontario and worked as a disc jockey while in university. He has composed the original scores to Wheel of Fortune (1975), which was entitled Big Wheels which was used until 1983. Among other gameshows themes, he also composed the songs for The Diamond Head Game (1974) and Whew! (1979) and The Wizard of Odds, a gameshow hosted by Alex Trebek and in 1997 he also hosted a television version of the gameshow Pictionary. He has also written songs for various singers including Marc Anthony, Christina Aguilera, Mya, Brian McKnight and Pink. He was also the host of his own popular talk show in Canada during the early 1980s called The Alan Thicke Show which was followed by an unsuccessful American version entitled Thicke of the Night, and was also on American television series Hope and Gloria, which lasted only 35 episodes. Throughout the late 1980s to early 1990s, he was most famous as the patriarch on the American television series Growing Pains.

This Canadian multiplies the caps. We know him an actor thanks to the series and some TV movies that did not cross the ocean. But he is also able to animate (and produce) television games (including an adaptation of the Pictionary game) and entertainment shows (his first work on television in the early 1980s). He also hides composer talents that we have already heard since we owe him the generics of Arnold & Willy and the program of the wheel of fortune. Many of the Multiple Talents, Alan Thicke is an important figure of the Canadian production.

Alan Thicke was a Canadian actor and composer known for his role as Jason Seaver in the television series "Growing breads". He was born on March 1, 1947 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada, and died on December 13, 2016 in Los Angeles, California, the United States.

Thicke started his career as a professional hockey player, but quickly decided to turn to comedy and music. He was a member of the Canadian variety show team "The Alan Thicke Show" before moving to the United States to continue his acting career.

He is best known for his role as Jason Seaver in the series "Growing Breads", which was broadcast from 1985 to 1992. In this series, Thicke played a father who was trying to reconcile his work as a psychologist and his family life . The series was a success and Thicke was nominated for several awards for its interpretation.

Thicke has also played in other television series, such as "Hope & Gloria", "Just Shoot Me!", "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "How I Met Your Mother". He also wrote songs for several artists, including the music groups The Jackson 5 and Diana Ross.

Apart from his acting career, Thicke was also known for his friendly personality and his media presence. He was invited several times to television shows, including as host of the "Pictionary" games show and as a judge in the reality TV show "Skating with the stars".

Unfortunately, Thicke died in 2016 at the age of 69 due to a break in aneurysm. His death was a shock for his fans and colleagues, and he was widely cried in the world of entertainment.
