After graduating from Florida International University, Danny Pino began his career in the TV series Men, Women & Dogs. He is known to have interpreted the role of detective Scotty Valens in the successful television series Cold Case: classified business.

In 2003, he performed Desi Arnaz, also of Cuban origin, in a film relating the life of the latter's wife, Lucille Ball, entitled Lucy.
