Biography for Dean Cain

His mother, actress Sharon Thomas, married his adoptive father, director Christopher Cain; when Dean was three. Though he grew up in Malibu and attended Santa Monica High School, his career plans favored professional football over acting. While at Princeton, he completed a history major, dated Brooke Shields for two years, and set an NCAA record for interceptions in a season. After signing with the Buffalo Bills, a knee injury ended his pro career before it began. Though he had already played a part in his father's The Stone Boy (1984), he went through the usual route of commercials and tv-parts (notably, "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990) in 1990) before landing his break-through role as Superman/Clark Kent in the series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" (1993).

Dean Cain grows in Malibu and studies at the Santa Monica High School. First motivated by a football career, he frequented on the benches of Princeton's faculty the future Top Model Brooke Shields. Having signed to play in the Buffalo Bills team, a knee injury brutally ends its sporting vocation. Dean Cain then has no other alternative than to turn to the profession of actor.

In 1976, he had already appeared in a film directed by his adopted father Christopher Cain: Elmer. After illustrated in some advertising spots, he turned some episodes of the Beverly Hills series in 1990 and then knew the consecration alongside Teri Hatcher by interpreting the title role of the soap opera Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993) .

Ex-green-green in comedy Best Men (1997), in 1998 he founded his own production company Founded Angry Dragon Entertainment and interpreted a homosexual in Los Angeles in the Clé des Coeurs Brés (2000) by Greg Berlanti. Participant in Rat Race (2001) by David Zucker, he found himself facing Denzel Washington in the Polar Out of Time (2003) by Carl Franklin.

Dean Cain is an American actor known for having interpreted the role of Clark Kent / Superman in the television series "Lois and Clark: the new adventures of Superman" broadcast in the 1990s. Cain was born in 1966 in Mount Clemens, in Michigan . He studied at Santa Clara University, where he played American football, before embarking on an acting career.

At the start of his career, Cain played in films such as "The Adventures of Huck Finn" and "Club Paradise". It was in 1993 that he obtained his most famous role, that of Superman in the television series "Lois and Clark: the new adventures of Superman". The series was a success and made Cain a television star. Since then, he has continued to play in films and television series, notably in "Las Vegas", "Smallville" and "Supergirl".

In addition to his acting career, Cain is also a film and television producer. He was also an animator of a talk show entitled "The Real Superman". Apart from his career, Cain gets involved in philanthropic causes, in particular by supporting organizations that take care of children in difficulty. He is also a fervent defender of the second amendment, the right to detention and use of firearms in the United States.
