Barbara was born on 18 April 1921, as one of two children. As a young girl, Ms. Hale intended to major in art and drawing; she began her professional career as a model for a comic strip called "Ramblin' Bill", during the time she was working her way through The Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. She married actor Bill Williams in 1946, and had son William Katt in 1951.

Barbara Hale is an American actress born on April 18, 1922 in Dekalb, Illinois, well known for having interpreted the role of Della Street, the secretary of Perry Mason.

It began to appear in film films, from 1943, after being trained at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. In 1946, she married Bill Williams, from this union will be born three children, including actor William Katt and four grandchildren, the two sons of William Katt, as well as a son and a daughter of his youngest daughter Juanita.

The marriage lasted forty six years, until Bill Williams' death of a brain tumor in 1992. It itself survived several cancer access.

She played a significant role, as a faithful well -informed secretary in the Perry Mason series. The series and its interpretation were so successful that they brought him his star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.

She was best known for having interpreted the role of Della Street, the secretary of Perry Mason, in the eponymous television series which was broadcast between 1957 and 1966.

Hale began her film career in 1945, when she played in the film "West of the Pecos" by Robert Wise. She then appeared in "The Window" by Ted Tetzlaff in 1949, before becoming one of the most popular actresses on television from the 1950s and 1960s. She also played in several other films during her career , notably "The Window", "The Lone Ranger" and "The Ten Commandments".

In addition to his role in "Perry Mason", Hale also appeared in other television series, notably "The Virginian", "The Fugitive" and "Bonanza". She also played in television movies such as "The Love Boat", "Murder, She Wrote" and "Toured by An Angel".

Hale received several awards during his career, including an Emmy Award in 1959 for his role as Della Street in "Perry Mason". She was also nominated for a Golden Globe in 1963 for her performance in the series. She was inducted at the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in 1995.

Apart from her acting career, Hale was also an accomplished artist. She painted several oil paintings and was a member of the National Watercolor Society. It was also very involved in charity works, especially for the charitable organization "Save the Children".

Barbara Hale was a talented and versatile actress who left an indelible imprint on the world of television and cinema. She will always be memorable for her role as Della Street in "Perry Mason", but she has also played in many other television and cinematographic productions during her career.
