James MacArthur was an American actor born December 8, 1937 in Los Angeles, California. He was known for his role as Danny Williams in the American television series "Hawaii Five-O", which was broadcast between 1968 and 1980. MacArthur was the son of the American actor Charles MacArthur and the actress Helen Hayes, who won an Oscar for his role in "The Sin of Madelon Claudet" in 1932. He followed his parents and was trained in Actor profession at Neighborhood Playhouse in New York.
During his career, MacArthur has played in many theater productions, notably in "The Fantasticks" and "The Boys from Syracuse". He also played in movies such as "The Love God?", "They call me Mister Tibbs!" and "The Honkers". But he is best known for his role in "Hawaii Five-O", where he played the role of Danny Williams for 12 seasons.
