Synopsis

He doesn't know who he is, but he knows everything about everything. With a strange tattoo and a black and white vision, John Doe (name used for people unknown in the United States) is looking for his identity. In possession of immense knowledge, he takes the opportunity to help others when he can.

John Doe is an American television series which was broadcast between 2002 and 2003. The series features Dominic Purcell in the role of John Doe, a mysterious man who appears on an island in front of Seattle without any memory of his identity. With an exceptional knowledge of all kinds of things, John Doe embarks on looking for his origins and his true identity, while helping the inhabitants of the city to resolve crimes and surveys.

The series was created by Brandon Camp and Mike Thompson, and was broadcast on the Fox channel for a 20 episodes season. She was acclaimed by criticism for her exciting plot and complex characters, but was canceled due to low audience rates.

In addition to Purcell, the distribution of the series included Jayne Brook, Sprague Grayden, William Forsythe and John Marshall Jones. Each of these characters played an important role in the story of John Doe, by offering him clues to his past and helping him in his quest to find the truth.

Despite his short duration, John Doe remained a favorite of fans for his exciting intrigue and his complex characters. If you have never seen the series, it's time to update and immerse yourself in the fascinating universe of John Doe.

Trivia

A first version of the unpaid pilot was shot. With an exceptional length of 52 minutes, it was worn by a slightly different cast. Thus Meat Loaf played the role of Digger (finally held by William Forsythe), Elizabeth Lackey played Jamie Avery (role finally held by Jayne Brook) and Azura Skye interpreted (role finally held by Sprague Grayden). Only Dominic Purcell and John Marshall Jones participated in the two pilots.

The series is supposed to take place in Seattle ... but was largely filmed by Vancouver (Canada).

Canceled due to bad audiences, John Doe left his fans hungry, frustrated with answers. The Fox stopped production without leaving the opportunity to conclude the series. Therefore the petitions have multiplied, demanding, demanding, begging the chain to produce a new season or at least a final TV movie. Fans are still waiting to see their dream come true ...

A few years after the cancellation of the series, the creators revealed the origins of John Doe's "extraordinary capacities". He would actually be dead in a boat accident and would have met ... God! The latter would then have transmitted his knowledge to him. Everything is explained...

Frustrated by the non-end of their series, the fans took the pen and wrote the rest of the adventures of John Doe! Here is a small example: season 2!
