Three's Company is an American television comedy initially broadcast between 1977 and 1984. The series told the story of three singles who shared an apartment in Santa Monica in California: Jack Tripper, a kitchen student, Janet Wood, a saleswoman, and Chrissy Snow , a secretary. Jack, played by John Ritter, was the main character in the series and was known for his sense of humor and his blunders.

For example, in the first episodes, Jack pretended to be gay in order to be able to share the apartment with Janet and Chrissy. Three's Company was very successful during its initial broadcast and has won several awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award for John Ritter in 1984. The series was also broadcast in many countries around the world.

In addition to the main actors mentioned above, other recurring characters in the series included Cindy Snow, the cousin of Chrissy, Larry Dallas, a friend of Jack and Janet, and Terden, a neighbor of Jack's apartment, Janet and Chrissy.
