Synopsis

This series features the daily life of a couple of New York newlyweds, Paul, director of documentaries, and Jamie, public relations agent, and their dog Murray.

Crazy of you (Mad About You in English) was an American television series which was broadcast on NBC from 1992 to 1999. The series featured Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt in the roles of Paul and Jamie Buchman, a couple York who lived their ups and downs on a daily basis. The series was known for its intelligent humor and endearing characters, as well as for its unique way of capturing the moments of couple life in the city of New York.

The series was created by Paul Reiser and Danny Jacobson, who also wrote several episodes. She won four Emmy Awards during her broadcast, including that of the best actress in a comic series for Helen Hunt in 1996. In addition to Reiser and Hunt, the series also featured actors such as Anne Ramsay, John Pankow, Richard Kind and Leila Kenzle.

Crestage of you followed the adventures of Paul and Jamie, a married couple who had very different opinions and personalities. Paul was a comic writer and Jamie worked in advertising. The series explored the daily relationships and problems they faced, such as financial difficulties, family tensions and doubts about their relationship.

Over the years, the series has approached deeper and serious subjects, such as Jamie's pregnancy and the birth of their daughter, Mabel. The series has also included endearing secondary characters, such as the friends of Paul and Jamie, Lisa and Mark, as well as Paul’s brother, Ira.

Despite its success over the years, crazy about you was canceled in 1999 after seven seasons. However, the series remains popular with fans and has been broadcast in syndication on several channels since its original end. In 2018, a suite entitled "Mad About You: The Final Frontier" was broadcast on Spectrum Originals, featuring the main characters in a new adventure twenty years after the end of the original series.

Indeed, Ursula appeared occasionally in Friends, where it is explained that she is the twin sister of Phobe, one of the main characters of this last series, played by the same actress. In addition, the special effects make it possible the scenes where the binoculars are both present on the screen.
