Christopher Lloyd est un acteur américain connu pour son rôle dans la trilogie Retour vers le futur dans lequel il interprète le personnage de Doc Emmett Brown. Il est également connu pour avoir joué dans d'autres films et séries télévisées populaires, comme Taxi où il interprète le personnage de Jim Ignatowski, et Mon oncle Charlie où il incarne le personnage de l'oncle Albert.
Lloyd est né le 22 octobre 1938 à Stamford, dans le Connecticut. Il a grandi dans une famille d'acteurs : son père, Samuel R. Lloyd, était un acteur de théâtre, et sa mère, Ruth Lloyd, était une actrice de théâtre et de radio. Lloyd a commencé sa carrière d'acteur en jouant dans des productions de théâtre dans sa ville natale avant de déménager à New York pour poursuivre sa carrière.
Lloyd a remporté un Emmy Award pour son rôle dans la série télévisée Taxi en 1981, et a été nominé pour un autre Emmy pour son rôle dans la série télévisée St. Elsewhere en 1984. En 1986, il a reçu une nomination aux Golden Globe Awards pour son rôle dans Retour vers le futur. Il a également été nominé pour un Saturn Award pour son rôle dans Retour vers le futur en 1987.
