The 2nd annual Children’s & Family Emmys awards ceremony took place in downtown Los Angeles, crowning Disney+ and Netflix as the top winners of the evening. The Children’s & Family Creative Arts Emmys recognized winners such as Apple TV+’s “Helpsters,” Disney+’s “Jane,” and Netflix’s “Lost Ollie” and “Raven’s Home”. The award for Writing in a Preschool or Children’s Live Action Program went to “Sesame Street” on HBO Max.

**Live Action and Animated Program Direction**

Netflix’s “Lost Ollie” snagged the award for Directing in a Single Camera Live Action Program, while “The Tiny Chef Show” on Nickelodeon won in the category of Directing for a Preschool Animated Program. The animated series “Baymax!” from Disney+ took home the award for Directing in an Animated Children’s or Young Teen Program.

**Music and Songwriting Recognition**

The Netflix original “Lost Ollie” won the award for Music Direction and Composition for a Live Action Program, while “Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight” was honored in the category of Music Direction and Composition for an Animated Program. “One Sacred Thing” from Jam Van on YouTube Kids was named the Original Song winner in the Preschool Program category, and “Monster High: The Movie” on Nickelodeon took home the award for Original Song in the Children’s or Young Teen Program.

**Visual Effects, Art Direction, and Costume Design**

“Lost Ollie” won the award for Lighting, Camera and Technical Arts, as well as the award for Visual Effects for a Live Action Program. Disney+ also received recognition for “The Mysterious Benedict Society” in the Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design category, and “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” won for Costume Design/Styling.

**Technical Recognition and Achievement**

The awards honored skills ranging from Editing and Sound Mixing to Puppet Design and Stunt Coordination, with diverse categories celebrating shows such as “Sesame Street,” “Sweet Tooth,” and “Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion” on Disney Channel.

**Youth Series and Animated Specials**

Leading youth series winners included “Monster High: The Movie” on Nickelodeon, “High School Musical: The Musical – The Series” on Disney+, and “The Mysterious Benedict Society” on Disney+. Tim Allen in “The Santa Clauses,” Ella Bright in “Malory Towers,” Veda Cienfuegos in “Circuit Breakers,” Tony Hale in “The Mysterious Benedict Society,” and Gina Rodriguez in a yet-to-be-announced series showcased their talent in the Lead Performance categories.
