Barry Keoghan award for 2024 at Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals

Barry Keoghan, best known for his performances in “Dunkirk,” “The Killing of a Sacred Deer,” “Eternals,” and “The Banshees of Inisherin,” has been named as the recipient of the 2024 Man of the Year Award by Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals.

Recently, Keoghan launched in the comedy psychological thriller “Saltburn” and can be seen co-starring in the series “Masters of The Air,” a World War II drama focused on bomber crews.

The Man of the Year celebrations will be held on Feb. 2, Hasty Pudding Theatricals will host a roast for Keoghan and present him with his pudding pot. Following the celebrations, Keoghan will be attending a performance of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals’ 175th production “Heist Heist Baby!”

“With experience as both superhero and supervillain, Barry Keoghan is the ideal choice to battle to earn his Pudding pot,” Man of the Year Coordinator Aidan Golub said.

Hasty Pudding Theatricals’ Man of the Year Award

Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the third-oldest theater group in the world, established a Man of the Year Award in 1967. Past recipients of the prestigious Man of the Year Award include Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ryan Reynolds. Last year’s recipient was Bob Odenkirk, who earned critical acclaim and awards for his role in “Better Call Saul.”

Austin Butler, Barry Keoghan, and Callum Turner will star in the new Steven Spielberg series “Masters of the Air.”

Hasty Pudding Theatricals’ 2024 Woman of the Year Award

Hasty Pudding Theatricals’ Woman of the Year Award, established in 1951, is yet to be announced. Jennifer Coolidge, known for her role in “The White Lotus,” was the recipient of last year’s award. Previous winners include Meryl Streep, Viola Davis, and Debbie Reynolds. The awards are given out to individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the entertainment world.
