The Kid Laroi Documentary to Debut on Prime Video
A new documentary titled “Kids Are Growing Up” premiering on Feb. 29 will feature the life and rise to fame of the Australian rapper-singer the Kid Laroi. Produced by OBB Pictures within Amazon’s MGM Studios, the documentary will chronicle Laroi’s journey from his upbringing to his “global rise to fame.”
The documentary is directed and produced by Grammy Award nominee Michael D. Ratner, the founder and CEO of OBB Media. It will showcase interviews with Laroi and his mentors and peers in the music industry, including Justin Bieber and Post Malone.
Laroi’s Ascent to Stardom
After competing in a local competition in 2016, Laroi gained the respect of industry executives, which propelled him to perform alongside the late Juice Wrld, who was a close friend and mentor to him. His debut EP, “14 With A Dream” and hit song “Blessings” contributed to making him a standout name in the industry. His notable work also includes a freestyle rap over Drake’s Tay Keith-produced “Nonstop” and his smash hit “Stay,” which secured six weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
Release and Production Information
A trailer for the documentary will be released on the debut day. The documentary will also feature Laroi’s new song. “Kids Are Growing Up” is produced by OBB Pictures’ Michael D. Ratner, Scott Ratner, Kfir Goldberg, and Arlen Konopaki.
