In 2019, Mitchell became a pastor and has since been vocal about his personal faith. He serves as a youth pastor at Spirit Food Christian Center in Los Angeles and continues to pursue acting. In a recent interview, Mitchell shared how his faith helped him navigate the challenges of fame and overcome mental health struggles.
Despite facing depression and difficult times, Mitchell found solace in knowing that God was always there for him. He compared his experience to that of Robin Williams, who brought happiness to others while battling his own demons.

Currently, Mitchell is working on a reboot of the popular film “Good Burger” alongside his former co-star from “Kenan & Kel,” Kenan Thompson.
