In a candid moment, Kody admitted, “I just have this gut thing that’s like I’d like to run away from my life. You know, just escape, just change my name, disappear, be somebody else. I just… I hate my life right now.” This revelation came after an intense fight with Janelle Brown and a Christmas that left the entire family divided.
Robyn’s Concerns
Robyn, Kody’s fourth wife, was especially worried when she learned about his feelings. She expressed her fear of him leaving her, saying, “It would absolutely devastate me if he decided to leave me. I mean, I know he has these thoughts… You can’t make anybody stick around or stay. I know he would regret it, leaving everything behind. I know it’s from pain. Robyn’s Commitment to Plural Marriage
Despite the turmoil within the family, Robyn remains committed to the ideology of plural marriage. She revealed, “I’ve always wanted to live plural marriage from the time that I was a young woman. This is what I’m invested in, and so for him to question it is like… it feels a little bit like a dealbreaker of our marriage. This is not what our marriage agreement is.”
Janelle’s Sons Feel Neglected
Janelle’s sons, Gabriel and Garrison, did not spend Christmas with Robyn, Kody, or their stepsister Meri. Gabriel expressed feeling neglected, saying he was “absolutely neglected” by Robyn and Kody for not reaching out about Christmas plans. Robyn was heartbroken to learn that the boys did not want to spend time with her or Kody during the holiday season.
Communication Breakdown
There has also been a lack of communication between Kody and Janelle’s daughter, Savannah. Janelle believes it is not Savannah’s responsibility to chase after her father and initiate contact. This lack of communication further adds to the tension within the family.
