L’acteur de “Top Gun” Barry Tubb poursuit Paramount pour l’image de “Maverick”

Barry Tubb in the legal zone

The actor filed a lawsuit against Paramount+ concerning the use of his image in the “Top Gun: Maverick” sequel. The documents reveal an undisclosed amount that the actor is currently seeking as damages and injunctive relief. The successful sequel brought in nearly $1.5 billion at the box office making the amount sure to be high. It seems that Tubb’s permission to use his likeness did not include the use of his image in the sequel, which points to a legal breach from Paramount’s part.

Val Kilmer’s emotional onscreen reunion

Newcomer Powell revealed that he was mentored by Cruise to get into character. The film also featured the return of Kilmer as Maverick’s nemesis, Iceman, which caused the “Mission Impossible” star to tear up. Kilmer’s health had been quite tough at the time as the actor had been battling throat cancer since 2015, therefore, seeing him back brought a lot of emotion to Cruise.

Sequel confirmed

Last month, Powell revealed that a third installment of “Top Gun” will be in the works and that some fun stuff will be announced soon. It seems that fans of the franchise should be on the lookout for more “Top Gun” goodness!
