Charity Match for Scarlett

Scarlett’s Story

In September 2020, Scarlett, an 11-year-old girl from Sutton, experienced a life-altering event when she suddenly lost the use of her legs. It was later discovered that Scarlett had a rare cavanoma that had ruptured in her spinal cord, leaving her wheelchair-bound. Since then, Scarlett has displayed incredible courage and determination in her recovery journey, undergoing intensive rehabilitation and treatment to regain her strength.

The Charity Football Game

To support Scarlett’s ongoing treatment and rehabilitation efforts, a charity football match will be held at Sutton United FC. The match will feature a team led by Scarlett’s father and friends, as well as a celebrity team including notable figures such as Tubes from Soccer AM, former football players, and TV personalities. Admission to the event is priced at £10, with free entry for children under 12. Attendees can expect an exciting game, half-time entertainment, music from DJs, games, a cake stall, face painting, and an auction of valuable prizes.

The charity match aims to raise funds for Scarlett’s continued care, as well as to help purchase essential equipment such as an easy-standing frame and a therapy dog. For those unable to attend the game, donations can be made through the Go Fund Me page set up by former Sutton United captain Glen Southam.
