The highly anticipated Celebrity Ascent has finally set sail, marking the arrival of the fourth ship in Celebrity Cruises’ Edge Class. This state-of-the-art vessel, with a capacity of 3,260 guests, is set to redefine the cruising experience with its innovative design and luxurious amenities. A Grand Arrival

After being delivered by the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, the Celebrity Ascent welcomed its first guests and set off from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on a four-night cruise to the Western Caribbean. The itinerary includes two full days at sea and a visit to Cozumel, Mexico. Prior to its official inaugural season, the ship will also offer a three-night cruise to the Bahamas on Nov. 26.

Exciting Voyages Ahead

Following a naming ceremony, the Celebrity Ascent will depart on its maiden voyage on Dec. 4, with a seven-night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. This cruise will feature ports of call in St. Maarten, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Dominican Republic. Throughout the winter of 2023-24, the ship will continue to offer cruises to both the Western and Eastern Caribbean, with week-long itineraries showcasing a variety of stunning destinations in the region, including George Town, Grand Cayman, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Basseterre, St. Kitts, Nassau, the Bahamas, and more.

Unparalleled Features and Experiences

The Celebrity Ascent is equipped with all the favorite features of the Edge Series, such as the Theatre, the Rooftop Garden, and the Sunset Bar. Additionally, the vessel offers new experiences, including a redesigned Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud restaurant, a plant-based tasting menu at Eden Restaurant, an outdoor terrace at Blu, and more. With a tonnage of 140,600, the ship is designed to provide a seamless blend of luxury and entertainment for its guests to enjoy.

Upon completing its winter program, the ship will set sail to Europe for a winter season, offering itineraries in the Western Mediterranean, the Greek Islands, and Turkey.
