The Legendary Bromance Between Stallone and Schwarzenegger

The bromance between legendary action stars Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger is still going strong. This weekend, Netflix is releasing a documentary about Stallone titled “Sly,” and Schwarzenegger, who was once Stallone’s rival, is enthusiastically endorsing the film on his Instagram account.

In his Instagram post, Schwarzenegger wrote, “I am so proud of you, my friend @officialslystallone. Everybody, watch Sly on @netflix.” Stallone responded, expressing his gratitude and calling Schwarzenegger a great friend.

In the clip that Schwarzenegger shared on his Instagram, he recalls the time when Stallone wanted to star in the movie “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.” At that time, Schwarzenegger was enjoying success with his comedies “Twins” and “Kindergarten Cop,” while Stallone was looking to explore the comedy genre. Aware that the script was terrible, Schwarzenegger spread a rumor that he was interested in the film, hoping that Stallone would join the project and embarrass himself. Stallone fell for the trap, and the movie turned out to be a disaster.

Despite their initial animosity, Schwarzenegger and Stallone became friends when they invested in Planet Hollywood together. Over the years, they have maintained a close relationship, frequently starring in films together and promoting each other’s projects on social media. They appeared in the “Expendables” trilogy as well as the film “Escape Plan.” Eventually, they realized that their rivalry had actually elevated their careers rather than hindered them.

So, if you’re a fan of these iconic action stars, be sure to check out “Sly” on Netflix and join in celebrating the enduring bromance between Stallone and Schwarzenegger.
