Choi’s journey began with the Korean-Mexican fusion taco truck, Kogi BBQ, which catapulted him to local fame. He later co-hosted the Netflix cooking series “The Chef Show” with Jon Favreau and collaborated on the movie “Chef.”

Awards and Accolades

Choi’s memoir “L.A. Son” became a New York Times Bestseller, and he was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world. Additionally, his fast food restaurant Locol received the LA Times Restaurant of the Year award.

Cal State Fullerton Honors Choi
