Suits is back with a new spinoff series titled Suits: L.A., which has been picked up by NBC. Led by Stephen Amell, the series is produced by UCP and Hypnotic, with the original show creator Aaron Korsh returning as writer and executive producer.
The show follows Ted Black (Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York who now represents powerful clients in Los Angeles. With his firm facing a crisis, Ted must embrace a role he previously disdained. The series explores the dynamics between Ted and a group of characters who navigate their loyalties in both personal and professional realms.
Cast and Production
Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, and Bryan Greenberg are part of the main cast, with David Bartis, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, and Victoria Mahoney serving as executive producers. Mahoney also directed the pilot episode of the series.
Suits Legacy
The original Suits series aired on USA Network for nine seasons from 2011-2019 and enjoyed renewed popularity after landing on Netflix last year.
Grosse Pointe Garden Society
NBC also announced the pickup of a new drama series titled Grosse Pointe Garden Society, starring Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb, Ben Rappaport, Matthew Davis, Alexander Hodge, Aja Naomi King, Nancy Travis, and Felix Avitia. Produced by Universal Television and Minnesota Logging Co., the series follows the story of four suburban garden club members from diverse backgrounds who find themselves entangled in murder and mischief as they strive to bring life to their conventional lifestyles.
Executive producers Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs, Casey Kyber, and Maggie Kiley are behind the production, with Kiley directing the pilot episode.
