Synopsis

A police officer for 25 years, Robert Dacier is appointed by the press "The cop of the cops" and he is hated by criminals. One of them takes revenge on him by pulling him: he came out but a bullet has stayed in his spinal cord, taking away the use of his legs. His infirmity does not however abandon his fight against the vermin of the criminal world.

To deal with this problem and help him in his investigations, Robert Dacier is supported by a very competent team: the young sergeant, Ed Brown, his right arm, Eve Whitfield, a young policewoman and Mark Sanger a black who grew up in the streets...

The iron man was an American television series which was broadcast from 1967 to 1975. She featured Raymond Burr as the police inspector Robert T. Ironside, a disabled detective who was paralyzed with a bullet during of an assassination attempt. Despite his handicap, Ironside was a brilliant and tenacious detective who used a motorized wheelchair to move. The series followed the adventures of Ironside and his team while they resolved crimes in the fictitious city of San Francisco.

The iron man was one of the first television series to feature a main disabled character. The role of Ironside was played by Burr with conviction and brio, worth several nominations at the Emmy Awards. The series has also been nominated for many other prices, including a Golden Globe for the best dramatic television series.

In addition to burr, the iron man featured a solid casting including Barbara Anderson as the officer Eve Whitfield, Don Galloway as the officer Ed Brown and Don Mitchell as the assistant of Ironside, Mark Sanger. The series was created by necklace Young and was produced by Herbert B. Leonard.

During his eight seasons, the iron man was a critical and commercial success, attracting millions of viewers every week. The series has also been broadcast in many countries around the world, and has been translated into several languages. Although the series ended in 1975, it continued to be appreciated by TV fans of all ages for its captivating intrigue and its complex characters.
